By using Congers Laundry Room services, you confirm that your clothes are suitable for washing in water on a normal cycle and for drying with heat in a tumble dryer. We are not responsible for any damage to garments that are not suitable for this standard laundering process. Additionally, we reserve the right to refuse service for items we consider hazardous to our staff, such as those heavily soiled with human or animal waste, to ensure their health and safety.
We take every precaution to avoid damaging your laundry, but there are limitations. We do not check pockets for items left inside, so we cannot be held responsible for damage caused by items such as lipstick, chewing gum, or pens. If you notify us about a forgotten item, like a bracelet, we cannot guarantee its recovery.
All laundering processes, regardless of how gentle, result in normal wear and tear on clothing. Therefore, we are not responsible for wear and tear, including the loss of buttons, fading, fatigue, holes, or abrasions. We also reserve the right to refuse cleaning any item if we believe it will cause issues.
Washing and drying garments carry inherent risks. We do not inspect every garment individually before laundering. If an item is “dry-clean only” or otherwise unsuitable for regular washing and drying, please do not include it in your laundry.
We wash all items together by default. If you separate your clothes into two distinct bags before pick-up, we will treat them as separate loads. However, we do not sort clothes according to your instructions and ask that you ensure the separation yourself, taking responsibility for each load. We are not liable for color bleeding or dimensional changes such as shrinking or stretching.
